This original Sa-lon blend matcha is created in collaboration with Marukyu Koyamaen, a venerable tea garden in Kyoto's Uji district with a history stretching back to the Edo period.
We've crafted a flavour that captures matcha's authentic character – that distinctive delicate, crumbling mouthfeel with pleasant bitter undertones. The clean, refined umami makes it delicious enjoyed on its own, whilst pairing beautifully with sweet confections.
At Sa-lon, we recommend this matcha for usucha (thin tea) preparation.

Delightfully smooth mouthfeel and pleasantly bitter taste
This is an original blend matcha created in collaboration with Marukyu Koyamaen, a long-established tea garden in Kyoto Uji that has been operating since the Edo period. We have crafted this to deliver the authentic, delightfully smooth mouthfeel and bitter taste characteristic of genuine matcha. Its clean, refined umami flavor is delicious on its own, and pairs exceptionally well with sweet confections. At Sa-lon, we recommend this matcha for preparing usucha (thin tea).
