Handling Precautions

Notice
  • Direct flame, oven, and microwave safe.
Before Use
  • Wipe dry or wash lightly with water, wipe off the water and dry thoroughly.
  • To seal the porridge, cook it over low heat until it becomes sticky, so as not to burn it, and leave it for about 24 to 48 hours before washing it thoroughly with water.
  • If the porridge is not sealed, cracks and water leakage may occur due to the characteristics of the highly absorbent soil.
When Using
  • Avoid rapid heating and cooling as it is vulnerable to sudden temperature changes. It may be damaged.
After Use
  • Although it can be washed in a dishwasher, we recommend hand washing to make it last longer.
  • Please wash with a soft sponge as rubbing hard with abrasive detergents, cleansers, metal scrubbers, etc. may cause scratches.
  • Avoid soaking. After washing, wipe with a soft, dry cloth, dry thoroughly with the bottom facing up, and store in a well-ventilated place.
  • When storing for a long period of time, do not put it in a box to prevent mold. Wrap it in newspaper or other materials and store it in a place where moisture does not accumulate.
[Caution]
  • Do not burn empty.
  • Do not heat it when wet as it may cause cracks.
  • Be careful of chips and cracks caused by strong impact.
  • If cracks or fissures appear, discontinue use for safety reasons.
  • Cracks (fine cracks on the surface) may appear during use, but this does not affect use, so please enjoy it as one of the textures.
  • If the cracks connect and become large, cooking starchy foods such as porridge will make it less likely to leak water.
  • Please note that the rough soil used may damage the surface when dragged.
  • Please be sure to use a trivet when placing the heated dish on a table.
  • As this product is handcrafted, there may be individual differences in color and shape.

Direct flame compatible: from cooking to reheating

It can be placed over an open flame, so you can cook directly, making it perfect for a small one-person hotpot. It's also convenient for reheating, as you can just take out the amount you need and serve it on the table as it is.

Looks small, but holds a generous 550ml

The rounded design looks small but is deep enough to hold a full serving of gratin.

A small handle is convenient

A small handle is attached to a plump dish. It's not just because it's a cute design. It makes a huge difference when you hold a hot dish with or without a handle. If there was no handle at all, you would have to cover it with your palm, but even if it is just a handle, it makes it easier to carry. Of course, be careful not to get burned.

Three colours with different expressions

Transparent amber glaze, matte white, and black. Available in three colors, each with a distinct impression. You can choose according to your existing tableware or the dishes you serve.
