Handling Precautions

  • Although water-repellent treatment is applied, the water repellency will gradually diminish with use.
  • Due to the coarse weave, spilled liquids may pass through the fabric and stain items underneath.
  • If liquids are spilled, wipe immediately with a cloth.
  • Cannot be washed or tumble dried as this may cause deformation or shrinkage.
  • If soiled, wipe by gently patting with a tightly wrung cloth containing a small amount of neutral detergent.
  • Avoid using bleach, benzine, thinner, or similar substances.
  • When wet, absorb moisture by pressing with a soft cloth and hang to dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area after shaping.
  • Avoid high temperature, high humidity locations and direct sunlight. Store in a well-ventilated place after shaping.
  • Cannot block heat.
  • Do not place heated pots or other hot items directly on it.
  • Individual variations exist due to handmade production.
  • Color may change over time.
