The days that feel like autumn are gradually increasing.
For my daily drink, cold barley tea was the best! But before I knew it, I started to want to relax with a warm cup of bancha tea...
Up until now, I've made do with teatime using whatever mugs or heat-resistant glass cups I had on hand. However, (sorry for getting personal) I recently got married, and since I've been inviting each other's families over to my house more often than before, I decided to take this opportunity to get a set of teacups.
I thought about getting about five proper teacups with saucers for guests, but most of the time, guests are family and friends... I
want to be able to provide a relaxed and comfortable hospitality. Also, I want something that can be used casually on a daily basis.
With this in mind, we have introduced five unique teacups.
Soon after, my husband's family came to visit, and we all gathered for tea. Choose a large earthenware teapot that can be placed directly over the fire. Boiling water in a ceramic earthenware teapot gives the tea a smooth taste and makes it even more delicious.
Once the water is boiled, you can bring it directly to the dining table, allowing you to spend time with your family while the tea is being served.
When I showed her the new teacups, she naturally said, "I like this one," and "This one is cute," and we started to choose the one we liked. I felt happy that this was such a wonderful moment, and I poured her some tea.
If you place it on the iron warmer, it will keep the temperature at around 60 degrees, so you can enjoy your hot tea at your leisure. Thanks to its generous capacity, there was no need to repeatedly stand up and sit down after the initial boiling, so I, the host, was able to enjoy my time (and more snacks) more leisurely than usual.
When the teacups were empty, everyone felt free to ask for a refill, or poured each other some more. We chatted as usual, but the atmosphere was calmer than usual, and it was a very heartwarming time.
Since we got these teacups, drinking tea together as a couple has become a little pleasure, even when we don't have guests over.
