Five-finger pot holders that allow free finger movement.
When taking hot dishes or baking mould out of the oven, thick mittens can make it difficult because you can't use your fingertips effectively. These double-layer cotton pot holders were created based on a hint from an iron kettle craftsman in Yamagata to solve this small inconvenience.

Developed based on the insight that 'work gloves are ultimately the best'

The impetus for developing this glove came from seeing craftsmen who make cast iron kettles wearing double layers of work gloves. I wondered what kind of special gloves they were wearing in a workplace where they were handling high-temperature iron, but they told me that "in the end, when you think about workability, it's best to wear double layers of work gloves." The gloves are made of woven cotton that is heat-resistant and flame-resistant, so they are also breathable and allow the five fingers to move freely, making them the perfect tool for workplaces where delicate work is done while touching hot objects.

The knitting on the front and back is different to prevent heat transfer.

We entrusted the production to Ishikawa Meriyasu, a manufacturer of work gloves and socks in Nishio City, Aichi Prefecture. In order to give the same functionality as two layers of work gloves, two knitting machines were used to knit the outer side loosely with a whole garment and the inner side fluffy with a pile knitting machine, resulting in a structure that is less likely to transmit heat. This alone can be used on an oven griddle at around 200 degrees. If there is water or oil on it, it will easily transmit heat, so be sure to use it when it is completely dry.
