These chopsticks are made in Wakasa, Fukui Prefecture, the number one chopstick-producing region in Japan. The tips of the chopsticks have been rounded off to make them less slippery. After using a technique called "wiped lacquer," which involves repeatedly applying lacquer and wiping it off with a cloth, the chopsticks are finished with a urethane coating to increase durability. We are confident in these chopsticks, which were created after much experimentation and consideration of what truly makes a good pair of chopsticks. Please choose the shape and thickness to suit your hand size and preferences.

- Avoid use in dishwashers, dryers, or microwaves.
- Scrubbing hard with abrasive cleaners or nylon scrubbers may peel or damage the coating surface. Wash with lukewarm water or cold water using a soft sponge with neutral kitchen detergent.
- Avoid soaking. After washing, wipe with a soft dry cloth and store after drying thoroughly in a well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
- If the unique odor of the coating is bothersome, place in a well-ventilated area for several days and the odor will naturally fade.
- Excessive impact may cause damage, so please use correctly according to the product's intended purpose.
- Avoid sudden temperature changes as they can cause coating peeling, deformation, cracking, or damage.
- As each piece is handcrafted, there are individual variations in color and shape.
- In very rare cases depending on constitution, paint or lacquer may cause rashes. If this occurs, stop using immediately and consult a dermatologist.
- Stop using if cracks or fissures appear for safety reasons.
- Lacquer becomes lighter in color over time.
- Depending on usage conditions and duration, lacquer may peel off. Please enjoy this as the natural aging of lacquer products.

Original chopsticks designed for ease of use
These chopsticks are made in Wakasa, Fukui Prefecture, the number one chopstick-producing region in Japan. The tips of the chopsticks have been rounded off to make them less slippery. The important thing is not the length but the comfort
Generally, it is said that the length of chopsticks is important when choosing them, but after doing some research, we found that the length that is easy to use for both men and women is almost the same, and that the difference lies in how comfortable they are to hold. For this reason, the length is the same for all chopsticks, 22cm. As for the shape that affects how comfortable they are to hold, we offer three types: "square" which allows for a firm and stable grip, "octagonal" which has a good balance between stability and comfort in the hand, and "shaved" which fits comfortably in the hand.

Stable 'square' design, well-balanced 'octagonal' grip, and gentle 'shaved' hand-carved comfort
The 'square' chopsticks have a good grip on your fingers, so they are stable when you hold them and do not roll when you put them down. The corners are chamfered, so they fit comfortably in your hand. "Octagonal" chopsticks are a shape that is somewhere between "square" and "carved". They have a good balance of stability when you hold them and softness in your hand. The 'octagonal' chopsticks also have a "wide-toed" shape, which is considered auspicious, making them perfect as gifts. The 'shaved' chopsticks feel gentle against the hand and create an elegant appearance when held. The carved surface provides natural grip, making these nearly round chopsticks surprisingly easy to handle. The tips are carefully shaped into angular edges for precise picking and grasping.

Thoughtfully balancing form and thickness for optimal comfort
Each design is available in two thicknesses: 'standard' and 'slender.' However, since the optimal thickness varies by shape, we've carefully adjusted the measurements even within the same category. For example, while square chopsticks measure 8.0mm in the standard thickness, the hand-carved 'Kezuri' style uses 8.0mm for the slender version, as its rounded form naturally feels thinner in hand. Though these may seem like subtle distinctions, we believe such attention to detail is essential when choosing chopsticks for daily comfort. We approached this design challenge without compromise. Available in three refined colours: vermillion, brown, and black.
