Contemporary Fragrances Expressed Through Traditional Blending Techniques

The incense is blended according to traditional recipes primarily using natural ingredients, but with a modern sensibility. Beautiful Kyoto scenes such as 'Miyama's Lotus Flowers', 'Cherry Blossoms of Daigo', and 'Otowa Waterfall' are brilliantly expressed through fragrance. Two types of sets are available—'Vermilion' and 'Indigo'—each containing different fragrances except for 'Sakaimachi 101', which is named after Kungyokudo's address.

Beautiful Packaging Perfect for Gift-Giving

One of the distinctive features of this sampler is the beautiful array of colours when the incense sticks are arranged in the box. The colourful incense sticks, each suggesting its corresponding fragrance, are the result of months of careful blending by artisans. Even with the lid closed, the gradient of colours can be seen through a small window, allowing the package itself to be displayed as a decorative item.
