Handling Precautions

  • Heat sources: Can be used on direct flame, 200V and 100V IH cooking heaters.
  • Before first use: Wash with water using a soft sponge before use.
  • No detergent: Do not use detergent. Detergent can get trapped in the surface irregularities of the iron and become difficult to remove.
  • Heat warning: Be careful as it becomes very hot during and after heating.
  • Food storage: Do not leave food in the pan as iron will leach out, causing discoloration of food and rust formation. Always transfer leftover food to another container and wash with a soft sponge and water.
  • After use: Ensure no moisture remains after use. This can cause rust.
  • Drying process: If necessary, after washing, place on low heat for 30 seconds to 1 minute to dry-heat and remove residual moisture.
  • Storage: Store in a place with low humidity.
  • Rust treatment: If rust occurs, scrub it off with a sponge. Then wash with water, dry thoroughly, and apply a thin layer of cooking oil to that area.
