About Magnolia Wood
  • As the material is natural wood, it has warmth and fits well in the hand. This is an environmentally friendly pestle that uses no chemical treatment, chemical coatings, or resin processing.
After Use
  • After use, wash away dirt, then dry thoroughly before storing. Do not use metal scrubbers as they may scratch the surface.
  • Pouring hot water after use will speed drying, but please handle hot water with extreme care.
  • This is combustible - do not place directly over fire.
  • For long-term use, occasionally dry in sunlight in a well-ventilated area.
Precautions
  • Avoid dishwasher cleaning as it may crack.

The easy-grinding curved flat surface

The bottom of the mortar (sold separately) is flat. The tip of the pestle is also finished with a gentle curve and flat surface. Since there is a large contact surface with the mortar, you can grind ingredients without using unnecessary force. The material used is magnolia wood, which is often used for knife handles and cutting boards. It is water resistant and feels good to the touch.
