Handling Precautions

  • As natural wood is used, the product's color may change, and stains or burns may occur with use.
  • Odors may transfer if left after use. Briefly dipping in water before use makes odors and stains less likely to occur.
  • As it absorbs water, avoid soaking in water for extended periods.
  • After use, dry thoroughly before storing.
  • If odors are bothersome, wash with water and dry thoroughly in sunlight.
  • Do not use in dishwashers or subject to rapid drying.
  • Due to material characteristics, fuzzing may occur during use depending on the wood grain section. This will gradually settle with use, but if bothersome, you can remove the fuzz by wetting the product and sanding with approximately 200-grit waterproof sandpaper, then finishing with approximately 400-grit waterproof sandpaper.
  • If dryness is a concern, you can maintain it by lightly wiping with plant-based drying oil.

Easy to hold and return

This spatula is perfect for flipping fried eggs and pancakes. The angled tip effortlessly slides under food for easy turning. With a rounded back and flat front, it's designed for a comfortable, secure grip that feels natural in your hand.

Made from durable Japanese wild cherry wood

The material used is wild cherry tree that grows in the mountainous areas of Hiroshima and Shimane prefectures. Miyajima Crafts Manufacturing prefers to use high-quality, dense wood that has aged well. It is less likely to shrink over years of use, and the tip of the ladle is less likely to become loose, so it can be used for a long time with little wear even with daily use.
