Clear Blue-Green Born from Rare Natural Celadon Stone
Kosen Kiln descends from a lineage entrusted with celadon production and painting for over 300 years, and remains renowned today for the beauty of its celadon. This beauty is sustained by natural celadon stone, found exclusively in Ōkawachiyama, Imari - where Kosen Kiln is located. When this rare stone is finely crushed, dissolved in water to create a glaze, and applied to white porcelain before firing, a luminous celadon colour emerges.
