About This Product
- Fine cracks will appear on the surface with use. This is called "crazing" and is a characteristic unique to ceramics. The color of the clay appears through the cracks, which is particularly noticeable on white pieces.
- Due to the characteristics of the raw clay and glaze materials, there may be slight differences in size, shape, color, texture, and weight among individual products.
How to Use the Daikon Grater
- Hold the receiving tray firmly to prevent slipping. ※Placing a wet cloth underneath prevents slipping and protects the counter surface.
- The teeth may chip if you apply force, so always grate gently with a stroking motion.
Usage Precautions
- This product is exclusively for grating daikon radish. Do not grate hard vegetables like carrots or lotus root as this may chip the teeth.
- As this is ceramic, be careful not to drop or subject to impact as it may break.
- Do not use metal scrubbers or detergents containing abrasives as they may scratch the surface.
- Dry thoroughly after washing before storing to prevent mold.
- Microwave safe.
Care Method
- Clean with dishware detergent and rinse thoroughly with water.
- Use a soft sponge when washing.
- After use, wash thoroughly and dry completely before storing.
- Dishwasher safe.

A ceramic grater with both looks and functionality
Compared to metal graters, ceramic graters are less likely to transfer heat to the daikon radish when grating, and they are less likely to release moisture, which allows for soft and delicious grated daikon. This is a typical Kamoshika item that is not only beautiful to look at, but also easy to use as a tool.

A presence that blends naturally at the dining table
A ceramic grater has the soft lines and nuances of the glaze that are unique to ceramics, and looks just like tableware. It doesn't look like a kitchen tool, so it doesn't look out of place on the dinner table. Not only the tray but also the grating part is made of ceramic, so you can take the whole thing with you when you want to grate only the amount you need at the table.

Comes clean effortlessly with just a water rinse
Unlike conventional metal graters with their sharp raised teeth, daikon fibers don't get caught on the surface, making cleanup as simple as a quick rinse with water. Plus, you won't cut your fingers or tear sponges while washing.

Attractive colour variations
None of them have an overly Japanese impression, so they are perfect for a Japanese dining table where Western and Japanese food are served together. The plate alone really looks like tableware, so you can add ponzu sauce to grated daikon radish to serve as a sauce for hamburger steak, or mix it with boiled vegetables and serve it as a dish on its own; it can be used as both a cooking utensil and tableware. It is a product that truly combines "good looks" and "convenience.
