A pair of cut-glass tumblers featuring the Asanoha motif.

We have paired two glasses decorated all over with the traditional Japanese auspicious motif Asanoha (hemp leaf), finely cut into the glass and presented them in a paulownia wood box. The thin-walled glasses feel light in the hand and smooth on the lips. By applying the pattern through cut glass, we achieved a refined, decorative finish without diminishing the clarity of the glass.

An auspicious pattern, well suited for gifts.

The Asanoha pattern has long been regarded as a symbol of protection and good fortune in Japan, and has been used on everyday items for generations. During the Edo period, it was especially popular for baby garments, inspired by the strong, fast-growing nature of the hemp plant. By incorporating this motif, we aimed to express not only visual beauty, but also a quiet wish for the happiness of those who use the glasses. Suitable for wedding gifts, housewarmings, and other celebratory occasions.

The “Short” size, stackable and usable like a small bowl.

The Asanoha glasses are available in three shapes: Short, Slim, and Tall. The Short style, shaped like a traditional soba cup, can be used not only as a glass but also as a small bowl. They are stackable, making them easy to store even when prepared for guests.
