Cold Sake Cup: Savoring Every Last Drop.

We've created a pure copper cold sake cup that preserves the perfect drinking temperature until the very last sip, honoring sake's deep connection to Japan's natural climate. Copper's exceptional thermal conductivity maintains the precise temperatures that give cold sake its poetic names: mizore(sleet)-sake at 0°C, yuki-bie (snow-cold) at 5°C, hana-bie (flower-cold) at 10°C, and suzubie (chilled) at 15°C. The cup itself becomes chilled, preserving your drink's ideal temperature so you can savor its perfect state longer.

Handling Precautions

  • Before use, wash by hand with neutral dish detergent on a sponge using lukewarm water.
  • Do not use in microwaves, ovens, or freezers.
  • Do not place on heat sources as this is not heating equipment.
  • Do not leave near strong flames.
  • When containing hot items, the entire cup becomes hot - be careful of burns.
  • Keep especially out of reach of infants and small children.
  • Be careful when carrying with hot contents as there is burn risk from falling or tipping.
  • Do not use dishwashers as this may scratch the product or cause the clear coating to peel off and interior plating to discolor or peel.
  • Do not use chlorine bleach or wipe with bleached towels/cloths as this may cause interior plating to discolor or peel.
  • To prevent discoloration and rust, wash by hand as soon as possible after use with neutral dish detergent on a sponge using lukewarm water, wipe dry with a dry cloth, and store after thorough drying.

Pure Copper Construction That Becomes Refreshingly Cool

Among metals, copper has particularly high thermal conductivity. When you pour a cold beverage, the cup itself quickly becomes cold, allowing you to enjoy a refreshingly cool sensation from the very first sip. The processing is done in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture - a town known for metalworking - and the interior is plated with tin. This not only avoids interfering with the taste of sake, but the silver-white color of tin also enhances the delicate hues of Japanese sake.

Pair Set in Paulownia Box - Perfect for Gifts

The cups come as a 2-piece set perfect for couples or parents and children to enjoy cold sake together. They come in a paulownia box ideal for gift-giving. The clear coating on the surface makes them resistant to discoloration and fingerprints, making them convenient for casual daily evening drinks. Beyond cold sake, they're perfect for enjoying other cold beverages like beer, iced coffee, barley tea, and cider.
