A diagonally cut broom made from palm and black bamboo for indoor use that is easy to handle even in small spaces
This medium-sized palm broom is made by Broom Craft in their workshop in Wakayama. It is compact with 4 balls* and the tips are cut at an angle. The handle is short, making it easy to maneuver between furniture gaps. The carefully selected palm has a firm and resilient texture that catches fine dust, and can be used on both tatami mats and flooring. *The bundles that hold the palm bundles together are called "balls." The more balls there are, the wider the broom will be, and the larger the area it can sweep.
Quiet and quick to use, no dust raised
This broom does not use electricity and does not make noise, so you can take it out and clean whenever you want, and it is a great product that can be used on solid wood floors without damaging them. The carefully selected palm is firm and flexible, contains oils, and can collect dust without stirring it up. The fibers bend and move naturally along the grooves of flooring, tatami mats, baseboards, and sashes, so you can minimize moving furniture when cleaning. To care for it, simply brush off the dust on the bristles after each use. Since it is made of the same material as a scrubbing brush, it can be washed with a neutral detergent if it gets very dirty. (*In that case, after washing, comb it with a coarse-toothed comb and dry it in a well-ventilated place out of direct sunlight. Also, do not wet it with water as the copper wire may rust.) Since the palm fibers are loosened from the beginning, palm debris and fibers are less likely to come off, and it can be used on both tatami mats and flooring. Recommended for those who want to clean frequently, clean at night, have children, and are concerned about pet hair. You can complete your cleaning with just this one, but you can also use it in combination with a robot vacuum cleaner during the day and a broom at night to clean areas of concern, or to vacuum up the dust collected by the broom. The 4-ball medium is a size that makes it easy to reach narrow gaps that are difficult to clean, such as by inserting it lying down under a bed or desk, or vertically between furniture or between the refrigerator and the wall. It is also lighter than the 7-ball and 5-ball models, and adults can use it with both hands or one hand without bending over, so it is relatively less straining on the body.
Durability and beauty achieved through the unique "braiding" and "folding" techniques
Palm brooms are said to have existed since before the Edo period, and have been used mainly in Western Japan. Broom Craft brooms are made from carefully selected, long, stiff palm material, and are characterized by the fact that they are folded over and attached to prevent them from coming loose, and the joints where they connect to the handle are braided to increase their strength. Both are unique manufacturing methods that were developed after studying traditional broom making. The handles are made from black bamboo from Wakayama. Together with the braid, they are visually beautiful, and when hung they will blend in with modern interiors.
