The dyeing technique 'chusen' has traditionally been used for yukata, where paste is placed on multiple layers of fabric and dye is poured in to colour the pattern. This method results in the distinctive feature of both sides being dyed simultaneously. The gradations and bleeds that occur during dyeing add a handcrafted character.

This is a tenugui featuring beckoning cats that bring good fortune. The mice are surprised by the row of cats!
